Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is a 1997 platform video game developed by Argonaut Games and published by Fox Interactive. The game was released in North America in September of 1997 for the Sony PlayStation, and later on that year for the Sega Saturn and Microsoft Windows. The game follows a young crocodile named Croc, who sets out to rescue a group of furry creatures known as Gobbos from the evil Baron Dante.Notable for being an early example of a 3D platform game, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos began development as a concept for a 3D platformer in which the player controlled the character Yoshi from Nintendo's Super Marioseries. The concept was pitched to Nintendo by Argonaut, but was ultimately rejected by the company, ending Argonaut's relationship with Nintendo and prompting them to design a new character and retool the game as an original property.Croc: Legend of the Gobbos received average reviews from critics; praise was directed towards the game's visuals and its music, while criticism was directed towards the game's controls and camera. The game was a commercial success, with the PlayStation version having sold over 3 million copies as of 2003. A sequel, titled Croc 2, was released in 1999.

Detective Barbie is a series of three mystery themed point and click adventure games starring the character Barbie. The series consists of Detective Barbie In the Mystery of the Carnival Caper! (1998) Detective Barbie 2: The Vacation Mystery (1999), and Detective Barbie: The Mystery Cruise (2000). The first two games were developed by Gorilla Systems Corporation and published on the PC by Mattel Media/Mattel Interactive. The third game was developed for the Playstation by Runecraft.

The Emperor's New Groove is a video game based on the 2000 Disney film of the same name, developed by Argonaut Games for the PlayStation and Microsoft Windows, and by Sandbox Studios for the Game Boy Color.

Dragonheart spawned a spin-off 2D hack and slash game for the PlayStation and Saturn called Dragonheart: Fire & Steel, made by Acclaim Entertainment, which was met with mostly negative reviews due to bad gameplay, poor quality graphics, and a generally unimaginative design. In late 1996, Acclaim ported a PC version of the game, which received similar criticism. There was also an original Game Boy game based on the film. The four reviewers of Electronic Gaming Monthly, while remarking that the Game Boy game is rather simple and lacking in challenge, especially the "anticlimactic" combat, concluded that it offers decent entertainment and longevity for a portable game. They especially praised the storyline, with Sushi X going so far as to say it was the main reason he kept playing the game.
